Italy Site
Engineering Excellence at
the Core of Microgravity
Located in Livorno, Tuscany, Kayser Space’s Italian headquarters extends over more than 5,000 square meters and represents the historical and strategic heart of the company’s activities.
The site brings together multidisciplinary laboratories and highly specialised facilities dedicated to electronics, mechanics, software development and life sciences. Clean rooms compliant with ISO 8 and ISO 5 standards support the development and integration of sensitive payloads, while dedicated assembly, testing and system integration areas enable full qualification and validation of space hardware before launch.
Over the years, the Italian plant has developed and manufactured payloads flown on a wide range of international platforms and vehicles, contributing to missions in low Earth orbit and to research programs focused on biology, human physiology and advanced materials. The facility operates as a fully integrated engineering environment, where design, manufacturing, integration and mission support are managed within the same infrastructure.
This vertical integration, combined with long-standing collaboration with major space agencies and international partners, positions the Livorno plant as a reference hub for the development of microgravity experiments and space systems.
Today, the site continues to support complex missions through continuous technological improvement, advanced engineering practices and strong collaboration with research institutions, universities and industrial partners worldwide.
