Kayser’s facilities and operational programmes provide the infrastructure that enables microgravity research to move from concept to flight.
Building on decades of collaboration with international space agencies and scientific institutions, we operate dedicated experimental platforms and participate in structured research programmes that support life sciences, biotechnology, and advanced materials investigations in orbit.
Each programme is supported by specific technical capabilities, defined operational workflows, and established partnerships, ensuring reliability and mission continuity.
Our microgravity activities are structured through dedicated platforms and mission-driven programmes. Each initiative combines specific scientific objectives, defined operational workflows, and established partnerships, ensuring reliable execution from ground preparation to in-orbit research.
Our service includes the integration of the experiment hardware on ground, upload to the space platform (ISS, Space Rider, or Commercial Space Station), execution of the experiment in the facility (KUBIK, BioRider or MARIN), on board stowage, download to Earth and de-integration of the experiment hardware. Upload and download, as well as on-board stowage, can be performed at controlled temperature if needed. On manned platforms (ISS or Commercial Space Station) the crew performs handling of the experiment hardware. Once back on ground, the hardware is de-integrated and the samples, together with the experiment data, are analysed.
