Kayser Space is interested in evaluating applications for the recruitment of a professional to join its Electronic/Electrical Design division, specifically in the role of Digital Designer.

The Candidate joining the Electronic Design department must be disciplined, versatile and motivated by continuous improvement. Previous experience gained in the space sector or in similar sectors will be appropriately assessed for the purposes of professional classification and the onboarding path. The position is open both to junior profiles, for whom a structured training and professional development path toward the role of Junior Digital Designer is envisaged, and to experienced profiles, who may immediately take on the coordination and management responsibilities typical of the Senior Digital Designer role.

This job opportunity will provide the chance to work on projects commissioned by international and national government agencies such as NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration), ESA (European Space Agency), ASI (Italian Space Agency), and by major companies in the sector (Airbus, Thales, etc.), and to be immediately involved in highly interesting activities in the aerospace sector such as Satellites, the International Space Station, Lunar Rovers, scientific research and much more.

The role involves:

  • Design, development, testing and validation activities for microcontroller-managed electronic conditioning boards, for the acquisition of data coming mainly from sensors
  • Design, development, testing and validation activities for Rad Tolerant / Rad hard microcontroller boards from the Microchip and Vorago families.

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar;
  • Preferred experience in defining the architecture of board components;
  • Preparation of electrical schematics and component selection;
  • Preferred familiarity with the Altium Design tool;
  • Knowledge of the use of PSpice or LTSpice;
  • Preferred knowledge of the use of HyperLynx or similar tools;
  • Preferred knowledge of analyses such as PSA, WCA;
  • Knowledge and use of laboratory instrumentation for electronic testing (oscilloscope, power supply, etc.);
  • Experience in testing and debugging electronic boards;
  • Knowledge of the English language;
  • Experience in the aerospace sector is appreciated.

Mandatory knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of English: Level B2 or higher;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point);
